FAQ

What clothing should I pack for Thailand?

Light, breathable, quick-dry. Two pairs of trousers cover temple visits; everything else can be shorts and tees. Avoid synthetic dark fabric — you will sweat through it in fifteen minutes.

Do I need rain gear?

A compact poncho costs 200 baht at any 7-Eleven and weighs nothing. Skip umbrellas: rains come with wind. May–October, pack a fast-dry sandal alongside trainers.

Can I buy toiletries in Thailand?

Yes — Boots, Watsons, 7-Eleven on every corner. Bring only your prescription meds and any specialty product (mineral SPF, contact-lens solution if you wear hard lenses).

What is the temple dress code?

Shoulders and knees covered for both men and women. Many temples lend wrap-arounds at the gate, but bringing your own light pashmina is faster.
