About HiThai
HiThai started as a personal travel log in 2021 and grew into a full guide covering 350+ articles across every region of Thailand. The team rewrote the entire site in 2026 around three principles:
- Specific over generic. We name hotels, mention prices, list the exact Soi and BTS station. Generic blog filler does not help anyone book a trip.
- Tools, not just text. Currency converter, visa checker, budget calculator and seven more — practical utilities that work offline after first load.
- No clickbait, no AdSense. Affiliate partnerships with hotels and tour operators fund the site so we can skip display ads and pop-ups.
Editorial process
Every article is reviewed against four checks: factual freshness (no 2018 prices), structural clarity (proper headings, FAQ block), anti-slop scoring against a 16-rule rubric, and grammatical quality. Articles that fail any check are rewritten or removed.
