According to confirmed data for 2015, Thailand has risen to 20th in the entire world with a population of 66 million. That number can be compared to France, Britain and Turkey.

The density of population in Thailand is more than 130 people per square kilometer. Most of them live in cities. In 2010, the total population of Bangkok was more than 7 million people (approximately 10% of the country’s population).

On average, Thai people live 73-83 years (men 71, women 76). The population in Thailand is quite young (only 9% are over 64) and educated (over 92% as of 2010). In the highlands of Thailand, the most common tribes are the Karen, which includes all the famous women with long necks, as well as the Lahu, the Myenas, the Lisu, and the Akha. All of them once migrated from the PRC, Myanmar and Tibet.

At one time they had no choice but to either move to Thailand or starve and live literally at war in their homeland.
