The Ramayana Water Park in Pattaya is a whole city of water fun!

The Ramayana Water Park in Pattaya received its first visitors in May 2016. In just a short time, it has become a “must see” for anyone planning to visit this resort region of Thailand on the north shore of the Gulf of Thailand. And it’s not just because you can’t find a more modern and larger facility of this kind on the entire Indochina peninsula.

The new Ramayana Waterpark in Pattaya was built by the famous Canadian company White Water West, the world’s oldest business entity that designs and manufactures water rides. It holds the patent rights to the serpentine waterslides, which no such facility is without. In Thailand, she has created an entire amusement city in the traditional Southeast Asian style. Water into the pools is supplied from artesian wells, and near each attraction there are three professional lifeguards on duty. So feel free to dive off the steepest slides, even if you can’t swim. Once you’ve had enough of adrenaline, you can safely go to a restaurant, bar, get a traditional Thai massage or just give yourself a lounge in the intricately decorated pavilion.

Rides at Ramayana Waterpark

An excursion to Ramayana Water Park is a fascinating experience that will appeal to all members of the family. The area of 184,000 square meters is designed in the style of the ancient Indian epic Ramayana. It is divided into 14 thematic zones where you can have fun and relax not only on the water. Attractions, and there are fifty of them, are organically integrated into the picturesque ruins of ancient city. Among the water attractions there are both extremely extreme, and relatively calm, suitable for children. We do not aim to describe them all. We will focus only on the most wonderful, in our opinion.

Lazy Wavy River

Many tourist reviews of the Ramayana Water Park in Pattaya are written specifically about the Lazy Wavy River, the longest pool (600 meters) of the water park with an artificially created current. You take an inflatable circle and slowly follow all 14 zones, observing the stylized ruins on the shore, mystical caves or just basking in the gentle sunshine. At any moment you can stop and disembark near your favorite attraction. There are several roller coaster rides whose chutes end in this pool.

Large pool with a beach Double Wave Pool

The largest pool in the water park, the edge of which is shaped like a beach about 160 meters long. Sun loungers and awnings on the beach. The bowl is divided by an artificial island into two arms, which generate different heights and intensities of waves. You can choose either one, where you are just gently rocking, and the one where the waves roll over your head like on a real ocean beach.

Crazy downhill jump Bumerango

A water slide attraction for two. The dizzying twin tube ride first down the 1-turn tube, then a nearly vertical 10m ascent and finally a splashing dive down the channel into the pool.

Serpentine, Spiral, River

The sites of these rides are next to Boomerang. The slides are available in both single and double coaster. They differ in the level of extreme.

  • River is low, the chute is open, with one full turn and several twists. It ends in the Lazy River.
  • Serpentine is a tall slide with a chute that has three turns – the first is a completely closed tube. Its trick is the powerful water flow that accelerates the roller coaster to what we feel is supersonic.
  • Serpiral.
  • Spiral is an equally extreme ride. Most of the flight takes place in an enclosed tube. There are more sharp turns and precipitations. At the end of the descent, you gently land in a pool next to the Boomerang chute.
  • Spiral is a more extreme ride.

Aqualoop and Freefall extreme slides

Extreme downhill slides. Aqualoop – drop in an enclosed transparent capsule first through an enclosed tube making a full revolution (acceleration up to 5G) and then fly out into the pool on a straight chute. Freefall – an almost free fall from a height of 12 meters in the “soldier” position through a straight open chute and into the pool.

Mat Racer speed slides

For those who want to compete with friends on speed downhill. Four parallel chutes, consisting of an enclosed tube making a full turn in the first stage. Inflatable mattresses are used to reduce friction for better acceleration.

Water roller coaster

Duiling Aqua-Coaster. There is no roller coaster in the world that is longer – 400 meters of ups and downs. The main attraction are the two parallel tracks on which the riders descend in twin coasters. You can arrange competitions for speed and time. Powerful streams of water that speed up the motion and different rollers add to the extreme.

Water

Python & Aquaconda. Six-meter diameter tunnels, intricately inscribed into each other. Nowhere else will you find such a combination of twists and turns, ups and downs and spirals. The big diameter gives during the descent not only the longitudinal but also the transversal movement of the bobtail, spurring the release of adrenaline.

The water park’s infrastructure is designed for a full day’s stay. Therefore, there are two full-fledged restaurants and a large number of small cafes on its territory.
