The Most Picturesque Islands in Krabi Province

As we already know, Krabi province is famous for its beautiful islands and its white beaches. Let’s take a closer look at each of them and plot a route through the most interesting ones. The first group is local. It consists of Poda island, Chicken Island, Tub Island and the Railay Peninsula with its famous Phranang Beach.

Chicken IslandThe islands don’t have a rich history, but they have memorable facts and shapes: for example, Chiken Island – translated as chicken island – is shaped like a chicken head. You’d recognize it from a thousand. It is completely uninhabited, there is no civilization and white sand awaits you. However, be careful, the entry into the sea will be quite sharp rocks and corals. If you do not have special waterproof shoes – stay on the beach and sunbathe.

Tub Island

.

The second island that has a trail from Chiken is Tub Island. This “little guy” is only 50 meters long and 10 meters wide. It is notable for the sand spit that runs from island to island, accessible only at low tide.

Poda Island

.

Poda Island is a fairly large island with a couple of restaurants; seating areas for tourists and gazebos. On a tour of the islands it is there where you will be advised to wear a mask and snorkel to discover the wonderful underwater world of the Andaman Sea.

Raleigh Peninsula

.

And the last stop on this trip is the Raleigh Peninsula. It can only be reached by water, there are no roads to it. There are 4 beaches on the peninsula, but we will pay special attention to Pranang beach. It is the beach that is ranked by TripAdvisor as the best beach in Thailand! And there is also the “Princess Cave” or “Fertility Cave” with an age restriction of 18+.

Phi Phi Islands

.

The great attention to Krabi province began with the famous Phi Phi Islands. As many have heard, the film “The Beach” starring Leonardo DiCaprio was filmed here. But this is not the main attraction of the archipelago. The emerald color of the water; crystal clarity; a large variety of underwater inhabitants; freakishly shaped rocks and islands – this is what attracts tourists here. And we advise you to take a tour and see this beauty.

A huge colorful coral reef with lots of fish, and you can often see the huge sea turtles and black tip sharks. A trial dive takes place under the clear guidance of a professional Russian-speaking instructor.
