Pattaya viewpoints give you a broad panorama of the city. If you are interested in a wide view, it is best to climb the Pattaya Park Hotel Tower or Pratamnak Hill. The height of the others is less, but as a bonus the observer will get a glimpse of interesting details.
The height of the others is less, but as a bonus.
Now we have mentioned the official sites included in the tour program and equipped with optical aids for better viewing. But there are many more vantage points in Pattaya, all you need to do is climb to the roof of any high-rise building. You’ll also have one if the room you rent is on the top floor of the hotel.
Top of Pratamnak Hill
Pratamnak is probably the best and most famous viewpoint in Pattaya. Most of the pictures of postcard views of the city, replicated on the web, were taken there. From this point you can perfectly see the beautiful landscape of Central Pattaya. And also the entire Pratumnak Hill and the Cosy Beach, which is extremely popular among Russian tourists.
It is also the most well-appointed. Along the parapet there are scopes, and landscapers have worked on its appearance – flowerbeds are broken up, benches are placed. You can also have a rest for a while: there is a tent, where you can sell various delicacies. This place is popular not only among tourists but locals as well. Natives lay flowers and light incense at the monument to Admiral Krom Luang Jumborn, the founder of the Thai navy.
With the Pattaya inscription
On Pratamnak Hill, halfway up the slope on the sea side, there is an illuminated sign PATTAYA city looking at Walkin Street and the Naklua district waterfront. The width of the view is somewhat less than from the foot of the Admiral’s Monument, but it’s somehow cozier there. Especially because it’s not crowded. After all, except for benches, there’s nothing else there.
Big Buddha
Another viewpoint in Pattaya on Pratamnak Hill, but on its southeastern slope. It’s not a good one, because there’s no sea view. Among the trees you can see only a piece of the promenade Jomtien and especially the tower of the Pattaya Park Hotel stands out. This place is a temple complex, where there is a statue of Buddha, and the monks of the local monastery sell indulgences for a symbolic fee. The stairs to the top begin at Phra Tamnak Street. To the left of the entrance is Qeen Sirikit Park, and to the right is a government office and a multi-story residential building.
Pattaya Park Hotel
The observation deck at Pattaya Park is the tallest in the city and gives you an all-around view. It is located in the tower on the level of the 55th floor. From it you will see not only Jomtien Beach, but also Dong Tan, the farthest in the city. Literally at your feet you will find the water park and attractions. The observation tower in Pattaya is also an attraction. Stretched to her stretched cable car. On it you can go down on the cable car (in the cabin) or on the suspension system outside. Entrance to the site costs from 250 baht, and the descent by rope from another 400.
Wat Yang Temple
This is a country viewpoint. It is located fifteen kilometers south of downtown Pattaya. The Wat Yang temple is located there. A long staircase leads to the top, where a pagoda is built and you can see the imprint of the foot of the Buddha. The city can be seen only by high-rise buildings. Most of the panorama is interesting as a landscape. From the site you can see the jungle, a lake nearby and a small piece of the Gulf of Thailand. A bonus of observing the surroundings will be a visit to a temple complex with a traditional set of rituals for making offerings to deities and receiving promises of eternal happiness.
