Before you cross Thai customs at Suvarnabhumi International Airport or what to do if you lose your passport in Thailand, we mentioned earlier), you must apply for a migration card of Thailand, which is the basis for stamping the passport.
Thai migration card is a document that contains information about the tourist, as well as allowing him a temporary stay in Thailand for a period not exceeding 30 days for Russians and 15 days for other CIS citizens without the need providing a visa to Thailand.
Views of migration cards
There is no need to worry and look for the form of this card, they are handed out right on the flight. But even if you manage to oversleep this exciting moment or spoil the form, no disaster will happen. Clean cards are always available in unlimited quantities at the Immigration desk at the Thai airport. The migration card has two parts:
- Arrival card – arrival in the country;
- Departure card – departure from the country.
The arrival card is taken directly at the border control, and the departure card is attached to the passport. You may be asked to show it at the time of checkout at the hotel (How to book a hotel in Thailand) or when exchanging the check.
The departure card is picked up at Thailand’s airport before departure. If you do not have one, you will return home with an additional, and not too rosy, impression of Thailand.
Fill-in migration card
If you do not know how to fill in the migration card of Thailand, you can always ask fellow passengers on the plane for help, but it is better to ask the stewardess. If even in this case you can not cope with the task (for example, you fly to Thailand without knowledge of English and on a foreign airline), then we have attached for you a sample of filling out the migration card of Thailand in Russian.
Note. Below is a sample of the completed new migration card with Russian translation, which started on January 1, 2018. It is mandatory for all tourists to fill out. Pre-printed and filled out cards will not be accepted, as each copy has an individual number.
