If you’ve had enough of beach vacations under the hot Thai sun, go on vacation to the most beautiful parks and gardens of Phuket. A stroll through the picturesque corners of this Thai island is a great way to experience the amazing nature in the area. But you should visit them either early in the morning or in the evening hours when the heat subsides.
Orchid Park Phuket
For island land, orchids are not uncommon-they grow in many places. But several varieties of these amazing flowers have come together at the Phuket Orchid Garden. Admirers of the beauty of orchids are greeted at the entrance by the hostess, who also hands each visitor a flower. If you’re not in awe of the flora, exploring the Orchid Garden in Phuket might sound boring. But if you like flowers, you can not only look at them, but also buy seedlings and blooming specimens.
Phuket Botanic Garden
In late 2011, Phuket’s parks and gardens added another attractive corner. It is the Botanic Garden – small but cozy design. When developing the design, specialists thought out every detail, because you had to mix the styles seamlessly. Botanical Garden in Phuket was a successful combination of different gardening styles – Japanese, Balinese, Chinese, Mexican, European. The area is attractive with waterfalls (more about Phuket waterfalls), lakes with goldfish and a cute bamboo house. Tourists especially like the cactus section. The only downside is the overpriced ticket.
Phuket’s royal park
Foreigners also call King’s Park in Phuket a paradise. Besides walking among the vegetation and swimming in catamarans on the lake surface here you can enjoy free exercises on the fitness machines, play soccer and basketball, test yourself on the speed on the treadmills. For younger campers, Phuket’s Royal Park offers a playground.
Phuket Bird Park
12 acres of Thai land is occupied by the beautiful Bird Park in Phuket. More than a thousand members of the feathered world of South America, Asia and Africa peacefully coexist in the area of this park. In addition to studying birds, visitors can also watch the thematic show (it is held 3 times a day). Walking through the bird park, you will encounter crowned cranes, hornbills, emus, queen pigeons and ostriches.
Phuket Zoo
There is a place in the southern part of Phuket that is home to the amazing Phuket Zoo, which opened in 1997 and is still welcoming visitors today. In this zoo you can find dozens of species: tigers, ostriches, monkeys, elephants, camels, crocodiles and others, as well as exotic birds. Crocodiles, by the way, are very popular among visitors.
It is also worth seeing the daily and exciting shows with crocodiles and elephants, from which you will have only positive emotions and pleasant memories. Read more about zoo in Phuket. By the way, if you are very fond of animals, we advise you to stop by the Phuket Fantasia show and admire the non-trivial performance of elephants.
Phuket Tiger Kingdom Phuket
Phuket Tiger Park, called by no other name than “Tiger Kingdom” was opened in June 2013 next to a go-kart center, is a branch of the Chiang Mai Tiger Nursery. More than 20 tigers of various ages live here in conditions close to the wild. And in the morning and evening there is a show feeding of the predators in the tiger park. The park can be visited from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Though the cost of the visit is a little high (to feed tiger cubs – 900 baht, to watch young tigers – 1000 baht, for adults – 800 baht), this park is still worth visiting at least for the sake of taking pictures with striped predators and to watch the tiger hunting for prey.
Dino Park
Dino Park in Phuket is a park located on the Hotel Matina Phuket. It combines a labyrinth, walking through which you can admire realistic dinosaur statues, take pictures and play mini golf (which is a trademark of the park). There is also a restaurant, immersed in tropical vegetation, which serves both Thai and European cuisine. This is one of the best places for family vacation in Thailand!
